Finally updated my main website to version 2. There are still a few kinks to work out, like working on my YouTube channel, and more images to upload but so far so good. This has been a long time coming after doing a ton of research, but settled (for now) on a look I like. I have a new appreciation for web designers after the amount of time I had to put into developing the site.

NYCC is coming up very soon and I’ve been preparing for the last couple of days. I didn’t manage to get into any of the panel pre-signups due to time constraints, But I’m sure I’ll find a few panels to go to.

My favorite part of course is the cosplayers that show every year. This year, I’m keeping my photography equipment as light as possible. Especially hearing about what happened at AnimeNYC on saturday

On saturday, AnimeNYC ended up kicking out some photographers that had really large setups. I’m talking 3+ ad200’s, c-stands, plus modifiers and a reflector. Even non-stationary photographers were hit. Normally this would be outside like at NYCC, or in corners near the north concourse with no high traffic. But that wasn’t the case this year. I try to be aware of my surroundings when shooting, especially if I use a single light-stand. Most of the time I just hold the off camera light in my free hand.

Either way, I think AnimeNYC may change the rules in the future if it gets worse.
