Website update, Preparing for NYCC, and not so great Photographer set ups

Finally updated my main website to version 2. There are still a few kinks to work out, like working on my YouTube channel, and more images to upload but so far so good. This has been a long time coming after doing a ton of research, but settled (for now) on a look I like. I have a new appreciation for web designers after the amount of time I had to put into developing the site. NYCC is coming up very soon and I’ve been preparing for the last couple of days. I didn’t manage to get into any of the panel pre-signups due to time constraints, But I’m sure I’ll find a few panels to go to. My favorite part of course is the cosplayers that show every year. This year, I’m keeping my photography equipment as light as possible. Especially hearing about what happened at AnimeNYC on saturday

Fan Expo Philadelphia Review

I attended Fan Expo Philadelphia 2022 just for one day on Saturday overall it was a generally good con. Here are my thoughts: Pros: Lots of great dealers and artists on the main floor. Seriously there was a ton of them. It reminded me of the early 2000’s wizard world cons The live band was ok I didn’t stay long but it was mostly theme songs or songs related to fan activity. Good selection of special guest interviews I liked the fact that it was located in the same area as the exhibitors and pretty easy to get a good seat to see a special guest. Artist alley and dealers are all located in one place so you don’t have to walk far. Same as the above A surprisingly large number of cosplayers attended. Much more than usual. This was probably my favorite part. Tons of cosplayers in

AnimeNYC 2021

12/2/21 Update As I was finishing up this post I just found out an individual from Minnesota who attended tested positive for the new covid variant Omicron. As with Otakon, I got tested after I arrived home, and plan to do so again next week. AnimeNYC was already dealing with the Friday line fiasco and now this pops up. Ended up on the news and even trending on Twitter. Not the kind of publicity AnimeNYC wanted. Chances are, this person already had it before even attending the con.  To anyone who attended make sure you get tested just to be safe. Here’s my review of AnimeNYC with Pros and Cons. This was my first time going to the con. Pros Transportation Getting to NYC from Philly was super easy using Amtrak. Once in NYC, it’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station to Javits Convention. It’s a huge building

Canon RF 28-70 F2 review

Canon RF 28-70 F2 review In 2019 I decided to finally retire my Canon t3i and upgrade to a full frame mirrorless camera. Aka the Canon R.  It still had some limitations like only one sd card and no in-body stabilization. I decided that when ever canon makes an upgrade to those two main things I’ll upgrade and keep the R as my backup. Surprisingly that upgrade and then some came the following year in the form of the Canon R5 and R6. I went with the R6 after selling my old camera, flashes and efs lenses. I was going to originally stick with carrying some ef prime lenses: the nifty 50 and old ef 85 1.8(which I sold recently to cover the Rokinon 85mm 1.4 ) but then at the last minute I thought: “Hey why don’t I try renting out an RF L lens for a change?” So
